About George
George’s family roots began in Porcupine over 100 years ago, giving him a complete understanding of the rich, cultural mosaic of Timmins. As Mayor, George oversaw the largest mining boom in fifty years.
Prior to entering politics, George was a senior mining executive for over thirty-five years.
George is a graduate of Laurentian University and is happily married with two children and three grandchildren.
